indhu Instagram – Sometimes when we are lost, we just need to go back to our roots where we first began knowing ourselves. I grew up with nature, in a joint family and temple surroundings in a Lil place called Irinjalakuda in Thrissur district , Kerala.

Nature wasn’t ‘ the other’ . It was home. It was where my first connections were made , thanks to a huge rich natural backyard and my strong affinity towards it and thereby temples filled with such environs. Live music was an everyday affair in temples and their songs ,instruments, the radio loved by the adults . The pond and the kaavu taught me music in silence . My cousins and sister ,neighbours kids romped about in the wilds and at times sat down to imaginative stories that made our Nature loaded backyard even more colourful and grand. Leaves, trees , stones , flowers ,birds, rich variety of reptiles, fishes, insects , domesticated animals…. They made me glued to the environment and travel specific channels than cartoons or films. All these helped me connect within to a rich source of light that was more strong than anything I have ever known.

I am what I am . A bit of me in everything I have seen and felt as I built myself. We are built in those early stages..at least our base foundation is. It’s also how we get in touch with who we are. We will naturally be drawn to what we are when there’s actually nature around and we are left to no electronic devices and just are by ourselves.

Filled with immense light and gratitude. ❤️❤️ | Posted on 09/Jul/2024 11:46:03
