STOP banning our stories! 🏳️‍🌈❤️🏳️‍⚧️ Today, despite living my life as a proud trans woman, my children’s book “I Am Jazz” is one of the most banned and challenged books of the decade. Legislators ban it because they believe it’s an attempt to “recruit” young children into identifying as LGBTQ. It is not. The book is about identity, giving people the freedom to express who they feel they are and how to be a good friend to someone who’s different. LGBTQ people belong.
