Joely Richardson Instagram – The brilliant @maisonbontemps , Loulou the costume designer on ‘The Gentlemen’ posted some of Lady S’s looks- I’d not seen these photos from our costume fittings. Loulou told such great stories of where each piece came from, the details of the gloves “a splash of colour”- costumes based on character and palettes.It brought it all back-the start of the job. It was a busy time and all the studios were booked up so we’d got a battered old building for storage. How the team managed- heating on the blink so freezing. The first thing I saw was the magpie hat , a version of which I wore for our 1st days filming- my husband’s funeral. I wanted to ditch the blond hair as both my gorgeous sons Theo James and Daniel Ings are dark.
