Katie Melua Instagram – On Tuesday night at @officialronies I felt like time had taken me back to my @britschoolmusic years.
I was so lucky to go to this school and always remind anyone that asks, ‘It’s totally free to go there’ and gives the greatest arts education to 14 to 18 years olds.
It was an honour to stand beside current student @samwilkinsonmusic, past students @oliviadeano & @pollyscattergood as well as the teachers and governors Josh Berger & @stuart.worden, raising some much needed funds.
They have to raise money because it’s a state school and have been affected by the cuts to art funding and 6th form education.
Here’s to the next generation of great artists, such as Amy Winehouse, @adele, @raye, @fkatwigs & @imogenheap.
