KiKi Layne Instagram – Performed a sneak peek of River (Ten Feet Deep) from #DandelionMovie at Reckless Records in Chicago. This is the first song you hear in the trailer and this was my very first time performing any part of the song live. If you’ve seen the movie you know this song is a big deal (which is why I didn’t perform all of it 😉). And if you haven’t seen it yet: “Y’all make sure y’all get that ticket to see this movie.” Dandelion is in theaters on July 12!
Thank you @recklessrecords for opening up your space for this performance in support of the film screening at @chicagocritics Film Festival. And thank you to everyone that came out to the performance and screening, especially my friends and peers from DePaul and the Chicago theater community. I’ve been on a long journey with sharing my music/singing and was incredibly nervous, so having y’all there for my first live set meant the world to me 💛💛
