Larissa Waters Instagram – Women and girls are the fastest growing group of people being imprisoned, globally. Those being criminalised are typically marginalised people experiencing violence, unemployment, poverty, mental health issues and homelessness.
Addressing inequity and the needs of our communities – particularly over-criminalised First Nations women – must be a priority. And overall, if we want to improve the lives of women inside, we must hear from incarcerated women and actual listen to them!
