UNICEF Ambassador @LaurieHernandez kicked off the International @KeyClubInt Convention in Atlanta last week, speaking to over 500 students about service, leadership and her experience of being an Olympic athlete and traveling with UNICEF to Panama’s Darien region. As we celebrate #YouthSkillsDay, these words ring especially true: “Youth voice is so important and leaders like you help encourage others to follow in your footsteps. The leadership skills you are learning today are motivating your generation; the change you are driving is creating impact worldwide.” #KeyClub24
No matter where they come from, where they are or where they’re going, children on the move are just that — children. And they deserve respect, protection and assistance.
