Before I share any more about this collection a massive shout out is in order for the incredible team at @crateandbarrel and all the artists that work alongside me to bring these collections to life. This crew, that you see right here, are truly one of a kind story tellers — the best of the best — each with a special gift that is a critical part of what we create and how we share it all with you. These collections are collaborations on so many different levels and I could not be more grateful to be able to continue to bring projects like this one to life with them. Some of them are new and some are the very best same friends who have been there since day one with me!
First of all — the entire team at @crateandbarrel . There isn’t a person I work with or interact with there that isn’t a joy. And I’m not just saying that because you’re my “bosses,” ya know! It’s an incredible team of creative comrades.
@amyneunsinger — She has shot all of my Crate campaigns. I trust her eye, vision, light, and translation to show the ideas in my head and bring them to life.
@hilaryrobertson — I’m forever a fan girl of her. She comes in and helps creative-direct the shoot as well as style my pieces in new and beautiful and unique ways — always pushing the limits of what I saw to start with and how we can see it now!
@lowfield_official — This is the dynamic duo, Sarah Barlow and Stephen Schofield, of a photography team that has shot my campaigns, my wedding, and some of the most important personal moments of my life. Including most of our @FEELFREE covers!

I often share my art. Giving it away to friends, selling it to clients, leaving it in homes I’ve sold “fully furnished.” But there are some pieces I just can’t let go. Pieces I’ve carried from home to home. Project to project. I’ve even gone so far as to buy back pieces I regretted letting go. I’ve been watching what @semihandmade has been doing for years — I remember the first time I saw their line and I thought it was just the most brilliant idea/creative solution (and you know I love a creative solution.) And honestly, I’m very proud and honored to work with them. I have been trying for years to tackle the “perfect” white oak fronts. A finish that looks untreated, but IS sealed. I told them I would work with them, but only if we figure out how to make the perfect White Oak Cabinets. I took a little roadtrip to work with Alex, a talented craftsman in Ohio, to create our “recipe” for white oak cabinet fronts that didn’t read yellow or orange after being sealed. (Who else has had this problem?) White oak is most beautiful in its natural state and that’s what we tried (and succeeded!) to create. And then, of course, I had to create the perfect warm white cabinets — a bit of a blank slate that can translate to the homeowner’s own style.
