Ask yourself: “Do you want to see them again next season?” and then let go of clothes you have outgrown or no longer spark joy for you with gratitude. Don’t forget to thank your clothes that you will let go of or donate for sparking joy for you before. For the clothes I have decided to keep and don’t need for the coming season, I take them to the dry cleaners as needed, and store them carefully by storing them with a cover and putting in insect repellant to keep them safe when I won’t be wearing them. I always say “Thank you for all your hard work this past season and I look forward to wearing you again next season.” to my clothes as I store them away!
