Mary Steenburgen Instagram – Ted and I were so thrilled to receive the Nancy Pelosi Ally Award at The Equality PAC Gala in Washington DC last week. True to form, it was an unbelievably fun DC night. Also true to form, the evening was moving and deeply inspirational. It’s more important than ever for LGBTQ folks to have allies in their lives and we are honored to be considered as such. Our thanks to Speakers Nancy Pelosi and Hakeem Jeffries, Representatives Mark Takano and Ritchie Torres. Thank you to the Equality PAC staff including Jeff Larivee. And a huge thank you to all the LGBTQ members and candidates for the courage to run, to share their true selves, and to take the slings and arrows that come with that. Thank you also to their loved ones, friends, and support networks, who have given them courage and strength.
