I want to offer my thanks and gratitude to the incredible land that we gathered on at @holcombvalleyranch, the organizers and volunteers of Aniwa who put together a beautiful, safe and inclusive gathering – and
Especially to the wisdom keepers and elders that travelled from near and far to share their prayers, stories, and teachings – I’ve an overflowing well-spring of appreciation and awe – humbled by their sacrifice and devotion in their efforts to be present for such a coming together. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I never had the opportunity to be close with my extended family and my grandparents were unfortunately not major figures in my life. I believe in the value of looking to, receiving from and supporting our elders – especially those who have devoted their lives to the cultivation, preservation and sharing of prayer and wisdom. It’s an outrageous stroke of luck to be close enough and to have the resources to participate. This was my second year in attendance and I pray I can attend again next year!
Big love to sweet @lissethchavez who was the best camping homie and team mate one could hope for. It was such a treat to share this time together right before work started.
