According to the new TRAI regulation, banks, insurance companies, and other brands must switch their important service and transactional calls to the ‘160’ series by August. Promotional calls will use numbers starting with ‘140’, with a July deadline.
This allows you to determine if a call is important or scam simply by checking the first three digits.
