Yesterday, I had the privilege of delivering a talk at Alex Secondary School, and I was thrilled to accept the opportunity especially because I, too am an Alex (KwaBhekilanga Secondary School) product and as a passionate advocate for empowering young minds, I believe it’s important for generations to draw inspiration from individuals who have navigated similar paths and learn from their experiences. During my talk, I emphasized the importance of self-initiation and taking ownership of one’s dreams and goals. I encouraged the students to embrace the mindset that ‘IT BEGINS WITH YOU’ highlighting that true growth and progress stem from personal drive and determination, regardless of external support. The response was overwhelmingly positive, and I was deeply touched by the love and enthusiasm from the students.
