I tried to look up a good quote that would help to express my love for these girls, but every one I read, I was like “yep. That’s them.” “Oh, for sure! So true!” Or “yesss! Took the words right outta my heart!” Quotes like:
“A true friend who understands your troubles is more valuable than a hundred friends who only show up for your smiles.”
“True friends are rarer, more precious than gold.”
And… “True friends are like diamonds—bright, beautiful, valuable, and always in style.”
But at the core of it all is just love. I’ve known these girls for decades. Like… I was in single digits when I first became besties with @adrianevankirk (and a few years later @michelalie1 and my paths crossed) but it wasn’t until this last decade of life that our roots grew much, much deeper (perhaps from going through real life stuff together that adults face as we grow older). I value our time together, whether it’s in the 126 Marco Polos we send, the 92 memes we share or the 205 texts… EVERY DAY. But I especially value the time we can physically get together, to laugh, hug and cry. And I mean, heck… we are already planning how we will celebrate each other when it’s time to meet our maker in the end. 🤷♀️
