A moment of endless waves and endless sands of time.
6 weeks since my birthday. I miss Gemini season. Life moves (very) fast and I post (very) slow. Archives of art still unposted and consuming me aside- I am abundantly grateful for what life looks like at 33 and @kaelynreneart @roniitmusic for helping me hand make this breast plate and photograph this concept.
So much love, tender time, and joy went into this process. Being heavily film and digital media focused- I think it’s not only important to be working on something with my hands in the 3D world, but I am also riveted by it.
@kaelynreneart & I have been co-crafting this breastplate one step at a time for over a year. After carefully placing the last grains of sand I think what we made is a multilayered fine art sculpture and I feel lucky to wear it. Pandora’s box has opened for us and this is the first of many of our collaborations.
