Our Women In the Workplace research shows that LGBTQ people are more likely than other employees to face disrespectful and “othering” behavior — such as being criticized for how they look or act. As a result, LGBTQ people are 2.25 times more likely than women overall to feel pressure to change their appearance to be perceived as more professional.
