Tano is a Bronx, NY native and a SUNY Purchase alumni. He is highly influenced by exemplary artists like Shawn Paul, Kanye West and Travis Scott. His love for them pushed him to develop his own sound, while also trying to match his idols’ elusive versatility. He was recently seen performing at the 2024 National Puerto Rican Day Parade
– Melle Mel (Hip Hop Legend / The Furious 5)
He is known as a rapper who was the lead vocalist and songwriter of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. A hip hop group formed in the South Bronx of New York City in 1978. The group’s members were Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel, Kidd Creole, Keef Cowboy, Scorpio, and Rahiem. They are the 1st Hip Hop Group/Artists to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
