Konstantin Stanislavski once said “There are no small roles, only small actors”. Just put in equal commitment and your light will shine as bright or even brighter.
I played the character Mama Oby in “Ijogbon” and in that role, I spoke 3 languages (Igbo, Yoruba and English). As small as the role seemed, it was unmissable and today, after 12 years in Nollywood, through this film, for the very first time, I got a nod from the AMVCA. God is in deed great and it goes to prove that delay is never denial. When God says it’s your turn, it is your turn and no man born of a woman can overturn it.
I want to say a big thank you to you @kunleafo for the opportunity given, for believing in me and pulling it all out of me. God bless you.
To my fellow actors in Ijogbon! You guys are the absolute best! To the crew who worked tirelessly, you guys are too much!
So I hear this category will be determined by a jury so fam, let’s watch and pray!
