Yesterday I was on set (she does the acting, if you didn’t know. She’s really good at it too… But anyway, I digress…), set was supposed to finish at 3pm, but if you know anything about filming, those times are simply guidelines. And yesterday, it guidelined, HARD! The 4:30pm that was supposed to see me at my flat, washing my skin and preparing for a beautiful evening, saw me leaving set…
I had to be at Ritzy in Brixton for 6:30pm. 6:59pm was the absolute latest I could arrive. It was a screening. (I had another acting role. I told you, she acts!) So, timing was IMPORTANT!!
There was no way I was going to make it across London, in rush hour, back to mine, do all the things and make it to Brixton for 6:30pm. Grace of God, I thought of @bestofbothboutique (located in Brixton) – I messaged and said ‘I need help’, Chan (the owner) said ‘I got you, Sis – Just come’… 💫🙏🏾
I got to her at 5:37pm. We had just over 50 mins to pull a look. She ran around the shop, pulling ideas. Then, at 5:57pm she found this purple, two piece bad boy… Whilst she pulled accessories, I ran around Brixton looking for shoes and a bag to match. Got the shoes and bag, ran to Superdrug, got my make-up and ran back to the shop… By 6:50 this is what we managed 🙏🏾
Made it to the screening and got loads of compliments about my outfit 🫶🏾
