“This may sound like a bold statement, but I know I’m not the only person like this. I did nothing consistently in my life that was enjoyable and of no discernable use to me other than providing simple pleasure.
“Sure, I sometimes ate out at restaurants, but only occasionally. I don’t count going to the gym as a hobby, only an activity I reluctantly entertain to stave off the slow creep of age-related deterioration.”
