Mi corazón necesitaba cumplir una educación en la escuela de mis sueños. Desde la pandemia, aunque he hecho al menos 1-2 películas al año, mi carrera se sentía estancada. Si la medicina fuera una persona, tú definitivamente serías la mía. Si la vida me permitiera ser madre en el futuro, espero poder ser al menos la mitad de madre que tú eres. No existe mujer con mayor resiliencia, amor y determinación como tú mamita linda. Doy gracias todos los días por tenerte en mi vida. Te amo con mi alma. Caption : (For English, press see translation at the bottom of this caption) Heme aquí haciendo monerías 🥸. No mucha gente sabe que iba a dedicar mi vida a ser coreógrafa y bailarina. Le dediqué años al baile, entrenando por más de 4-6 horas al día durante años. Incluso fui aceptada en la universidad para estudiar coreografía. Sin embargo, tuve que dejar de bailar abruptamente cuando tuve que someterme a una operación cardíaca de emergencia. El desapego fue tan duro que dejé de bailar por completo. Con el tiempo, mi personalidad cambió gradualmente y mi capacidad para enfrentar desafíos disminuyó. Fue entonces cuando descubrí los beneficios terapéuticos de bailar y mover el cuerpo de manera regular para soltar el trauma acumulado en el cuerpo. Comencé a practicar yoga y me certifiqué en diferentes enfoques de la práctica. También practicaba paddleboard, paddle yoga, escalada, surf, ciclismo, entre otras actividades, que me ayudaron a sanar y mejorar mi salud. Hace unos años, comencé a tener problemas de espalda debido a varios accidentes, así como otros problemas de salud. Por recomendación médica, estuve un año y medio sin entrenar o moverme mucho. Comencé a aumentar de peso y a sentirme muy deprimida. Mi desempeño laboral se vio afectado y mi confianza en mis talentos y capacidades disminuyó considerablemente. Ayer, durante mi sesión habitual de terapia psicológica (sí, siempre he estado en terapia. Es una buena higiene para el cerebro 🧼🧠), mi doctora me recomendó volver al baile. Aunque me entusiasma la idea, también siento cierto temor ante lo que pueda experimentar en el proceso frente a otras personas. Sin embargo, creo que es la respuesta a muchos aspectos de mi salud que necesitan sanar. Comparto esto porque estoy segura de que hay muchas personas que no son conscientes de los beneficios curativos que puede ofrecer mover el cuerpo, tanto para la salud física como mental. Si no me creen, busquen información sobre el enfoque transformador de la terapia “bottom-up”. Espero que este sea el estímulo que necesitas para volver a mover ese montón. ✨Likes : 3

Caption : Durante los huracanes en PR, me llevé a mi familia a LA para cuidarles. Nos mudamos a varios apartamentos, buscando economía, calidad de vida y accesibilidad para sus necesidades. Durante la pandemia, conseguimos una casa en alquiler con garaje, del cual tenía la intención de hacer mi estudio. Entre viajes, complicaciones médicas, trabajo, economía y otros retos, no había logrado terminar mi estudio. Después de 3 años, lo logré. No lo hice sola. We moved into several apartments, looking for economy, quality of life and accessibility for their needs. During the pandemic, we got to rent a house with a garage, which I intended to make my studio out of. Between travel, medical complications, work, finances and other challenges, I had not managed to finish my studio. After 3 years, I made it. I didn’t do it alone. Without the help of Caleb, my mom, and friends, I wouldn’t have been able to do it. Maybe it is not the greatest of my achievements, but it is the most significant at this moment in my life. Después de leer esta pieza, dije que si inmediatamente. Fue sin duda alguna, una de las mejores experiencias que he tenido en mi carrera. Tuve el privilegio de hacer este corto con amistades que amo y admiro. Hicimos un proyecto que llegó hasta Cannes, Cinefiesta, entre otros muchos festivales. This day they gave me one of the prizes we won. This is my Dream Team. @elijahali2.0 wrote to me one day and told me that he would love for me to read a short film he was developing with @cjlozada titled The Great Elephant. After reading this piece, I said yes immediately. It was without a doubt, one of the best experiences I have had in my career. I had the privilege of making this short film with friends that I love and admire. We did a project that reached Cannes, Cinefiesta, among many other festivals. We won multiple awards, including 4 for Best Actress. We had an unparalleled distribution and we greatly celebrated the fruit of the love we invested in this production.
