Covering these Olympic Games for an institution like @CBCOlympics has been a career – and life! – highlight. An honor I never dared to dream of, but so thankful it came to fruition. This experience has been so rewarding and refreshing. I fell in love with these athletes. Their spirit. Their soul. Their determination. Their grace. All so very admirable. I’ll really miss covering them. Truth be told, their purity and innocence reminded me of a lot of MMA fighters. And as I go back to my regular job – more on that very soon! – I leave Paris filled with pride and gratitude. And that’s not always common for me. This was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and a trip I’ll never forget. I’d love to do it again some day.
