David Friedrich Instagram – I still can’t believe it.
With over 100,000 people, it was the biggest show I’ve ever played. We had fun together like there was no tomorrow. Especially for me to experience something like this in Poland fills my heart. I had so much fun with you @polandrockfestival
The energy of the festival is truly unique. So much joy, respect and love. It was an honor to play for you guys.
For those who don’t know.
I was born in Germany. But I spent a lot of my childhood in my grandfather’s house in Poland. He played the trumpet in the orchestra and was always making music. At the opening ceremony when the orchestra was playing, I remember how grandpa used to play.
He has not lived on earth for a long time, but yesterday he was more present than ever.
He’s not gone, he’s just traveling.

There has really never been a concert in my life where I didn’t pray before the show. Since I’ve been playing concerts, I pray of course for a good show and that everything goes as planned, but much more that we have fun together, also for all the people who are no longer with us. Because somehow, don’t ask me how, they are still here.
Especially yesterday.
Thank you grandpa. Thank you Poland.
