David Hogg Instagram – Scenes from yesterday at UNC where I was invited by our chapter of March for our lives to come and speak following the shooting there. One of the hardest things about yesterday was how many people I met years ago when I started working in March For Our Lives Who are still doing the work. When working in a social movement and the issue persists it can can be easy to think what’s broken is the movement but I’ve come to realize it’s not the movement that’s broken- it’s our government and our democracy that has been corrupted and bought off but it’s a tyrannical minority of lobbyists special interests and corporations who have used Republicans to gerrymander their way into power. If we want to address that we have to get to work now not just working on the outside with groups like march for our lives but also on the inside with groups like Leaders We Deserve
