In the season finale, Frank (@bestpizza33) meets New York pizza legend Al Santillo (@santillopizza) the site of Al’s burned down pizzeria and childhood home, Santillo’s. Al is a 4th generation pizza maker and the 105 year-old restaurant burned down in January 2024.
Frank and Al connect over operating out of 100 year old brick ovens and rap pizza lore before going on a neighbourhood tour to meet friends, eat the best Italian hot dogs and sandwiches ever. The party continues at Best where we’re joined by heavyweights from the pizza community to create pizzas and get surprised by everything that comes out of Al’s mouth.
