Gordon Toi Hatfield Instagram – The inspiration for the walk came from my son @maakatepotoi so this is been something I wanted to do to challenge myself, what I did not expect is that my children would join in with me for support we completed the walk in 7:47 hours 32 km around the island. A few weeks ago I had a nasty fall where I wasn’t able to walk. I thought my dream was over but slow recovery was the best way and payed off today. All of us hit new PBs We gave it everything we had working together supporting each other all the way, every muscle in my body hurts but was so worth just to do it with the whanau.
