Jim Lee Instagram – Scenes from a comic con, part 2! The gratitude continues as I want to personally thank 2 of our 3 @twitch mods who were at SDCC—crispy_eggroll (who looks like he’s taking a drag off a cig) and @theonlypoopkid for all the work they do behind the scenes organizing our fan gatherings, corraling up books to be signed and delivery art like Santa to fans throughout the show floor. Thanks to the Twitch stream community for their continued support and enthusiasm for my work. You guys are the nucleus of my fan group, and I appreciate you all so much for your good cheer and love of all things comics!
Also want to say how fantastic to see @juanjoguarnido again after over 20 years as he also snagged an Eisner! Congratz to @thrilliod @beckycloonan and @steinmtn on their win too. So well deserved! And talking Star Trek with IDW editor @heatherantos—so many cool projects coming up! On the DC front—other than our All-In initiative—it was nice catching up with Dreamer scribe @nicoleamaines, meeting @dragottaart for the first time and checking out the latest from @jscottcampbellart and his wife @tanyalehoux! Fun connecting @mikechoiart with Lucas to talk crowdfunding comics and special thanks to @claymannpi for his cameo appearance Saturday night! I appreciate you, bud! And here’s to impromptu elevator meet ups! Looking at you @comixace and all your insights! And to the awesome fan who shared some libations with us Saturday night in the elevator ride up—you rock!!! 👍👍👍
Last shout out to @shawnalynch @humblebuttons and the team over at @mondonews for launching a line of spectacular Jim Lee DC prints! Looking forward to seeing the work at sizes and a clarity never before imagined! @lucaslee_art and I owe a HUGE thanks to the folks over at @torpedocomics for hosting Luc’s signing for his comic WALLOW at their booth. Was great seeing him slowly but surely build up his reader base for his comic. It’s a slow burn but so multilayered and rich. He’s on issue 7 so it’s coming along nicely…
It’s funny the last pic is of Carla and I walking given that we spend at least 50% of our time at SDCC on Pedicabs lol. Anyway…til we do this again in 2025–much love, stay frosty 🥶 | Posted on 04/Aug/2024 04:22:45
