Jim Lee Instagram – Scenes from a comic con, part 1 of 2. Only been a week since @comic_con has passed, & I’m still fondly recollecting all the amazing panels, activations (the Penguin on @streamonmax!), signings & get togethers that were had.
It was my 35th SDCC & definitely one of the best. Thank you to the organizers of the show for making it one of the most ambitious, energetic & best run shows in the world. Most importantly, I want to thank my beautiful, caring, multitasking wife @joke2far who supported me throughout the long weekend, keeping me on my schedule while simultaneously in contact with all 8 of our children (3 could couldn’t make it unfortunately) who were scattered throughout the convention. @tajlee @kelseyhannah__ @kaitlinleegarza @ljwrightsthings lucaslee_art @gibs.png @river_c_lee and @jacksontiberiuslee—its always great having you at the show & particularly meaningful to accept my Eisner HoF award with many of you in attendance.

I am filled with gratitude that so many former WildStormers @choisez Claudia, Martha, Emiliano & others who made it out for a very early birthday gathering. I know it was a very hard week for all, but it was comforting to catch up & reminisce.
And finally a big bow to the many incredible, talented creators I had the chance to chat with over the 5 days. Congratz to @thiendog for his Eisner for ‘Family Style’ (ordered and on its way to me via Amazon!) & the super talented @goraina too.
