Kenny Rogers Instagram – This week in 1982, Kenny Rogers arrived in a helicopter to Paso Robles, CA and was lowered to the California Mid-State Fair stage from the hovering craft to the wild cheers of his fans. Kenny brought record crowds to the fair, resulting in a wave of fair goers flooding the fair gates as never seen before. Kenny was one of the most popular entertainers to perform at the California Mid-State Fair—appearing there eight times during his career. Only Alan Jackson and Tim McGraw have performed more times at the Mid-State Fair.
