Matthew Hussey Instagram – The highlight of the last few days in Nairobi was visiting @sheldricktrust and the baby elephants they have rescued.
The baby elephants were orphans, their mums had either been poached, had died, or they had gotten lost and were separated from their tribes.
The handlers take care of them from morning to night, they even sleep with them every night in their individual rooms so they don’t get heart sick 🥹💔
Every morning the baby elephants are reunited and roam around all day. They told us they get so happy and excited when they see each other which is the just sweetest detail.
We adopted Mzinga, who was only 1 month old when she was found all alone in Tsavo National Park. In a few years she will be released back out into the wild 🤍 if you want to adopt a baby elephant you can do so on their website 🐘
