Questlove Instagram – I gotta admit one of the highlights of 2023 was coming on one of the best music podcasts (search #WhatHadHappenedWas follow @stonyislandpods) in which i had to revisit a time in my life I thought was in my rear view mirror. If liner notes and director commentary are your thing? Then @open_mike_eagle has something for you!!!! once done an album—-I was the cat would put the memories in my rear view mirror. Very rarely looking back. But doing that 13 episode podcast has given me a new appreciation for those albums. Yeah I’ll post an album cover for the anniversary but I felt like “damn this didn’t go triple platinum so no one cares”——but now I have a relationship in which I appreciate all the blood sweat joy laughter and work that went into these albums. Technically this lp #DoYouWantMore is indeed 30 years old ——we released it in Europe in 1994 but held off on the US release until Jan 17th 1995—-so yeah this is the 29th anniversary.
