I didn’t expect Hampi to be THIS beautiful, peaceful, and fun?! The lakes, the sunset, the food, and the people—everything about this place was just so therapeutic 😍
If you or that overworked friend of yours NEEDS a vacay… this quaint little town is the place to be!! It’s a chill backpackers’ town, and even though it can be a bit crowded with tourists during peak season, if you know the right places to be, you’ll be away from the crowds.🤪
And if you’re looking for a great place to stay, @thegoancorner is the perfect spot to experience the true backpacker’s vibe in Hampi.
Here are my top reccos for when in Hampi:
👉 Sanapur Lake – Go for a relaxing swim or ride the circular boats (coracles).
👉 Matanga Hill – Witness the famous Hampi sunsets from the top!
👉 Go cliff jumping – Lots of cliffs to jump from in Hampi, but please go with locals or tour guides as there can be crocs in the water!
👉 Discover Indian Heritage – It’s known as the city of Ruins, so you must visit the ruins at Badami, Aihole, and Pattadakal.
👉 Lots of Adventure – Bouldering, climbing hills, slack-lining, and a lot more!!
