“I have multiple different psyches inside me waiting to be unleashed,” says the actor and digital cover star of CULTURED’s September fashion issue. Arjona—photographed here in full @givenchy—has been in Hollywood for over a decade, but this year, a slate of leading roles has pushed her into the limelight. As a newly liberated and increasingly unhinged divorcée in last spring’s “Hit Man,” Arjona is indelible. As a brainwashed islander in “Blink Twice,” Zoë Kravitz’s forthcoming directorial debut, she is mesmerizing. “When I was young, there weren’t that many Spanish-speaking actresses working in Hollywood to look up to,” says the Puerto Rican-Guatemalan performer, who grew up looking to the likes of Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz for their nuanced character portrayals. “It’s different now.”
