Alice Evans Instagram – What Elsie and I talked about this morning: why the heck do people go for runs outside when it’s 90F. She has a point. There were many! Whether or not the jeans she’d chosen were a good choice given she has PE today. She decided they would be fine given their loose cut and showed me some moves to boot. Do people look like their dogs sometimes and do the dogs know this? Yes/probably not but no way to find out.
Meanwhile I was completely lost in my own thoughts walking back but then my apple watch suddenly decided to yell at me that my pace had changed. It was so unexpected and so frankly loud that I thought it was a person right behind me and physically jumped about a yard and let out a strange noise. Of course there was nobody behind me so I very quickly realized my mistake and tried to resume walking like I hadn’t just jumped into the air and yelled out for completely no reason. This literally at the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica which is one of the biggest in LA but with very little foot traffic. Probably about 15-20 cars just waiting for the lights and just me crossing and suddenly jumping. I did feel a bit embarrassed.
