We stayed up super late to watch the closing speeches of the DNC the other night.
Ash was so tired he fell asleep during @kamalaharris’ speech, but he was transfixed by the speakers, especially the republican calling Trump a “weak” man, a statement Ash really fixated on, and starting asking about. Why?
I explained Trump’s childhood trauma and his need for control and power at all costs because of his mangled heart and fear-based attitude towards life.
Ash asked if he could vote.
We explained how it works. He was mad he couldn’t vote.
Then he asked what he COULD do. I told him he could try to convince adults to vote. So he asked if he could make a poster and hang it around town. My heart exploded that he thought of this himself. He knows how it’s done.
He spent an hour yesterday drafting and designing this poster while I figured out where we could get some color copies made.
This kid wants you to vote.
