Amber Riley Instagram – I was bullied because of my hair when I was younger. I was called nappy headed, bald, I was told my hair looked like pubic hairs, called a chicken head amongst other things. So I hid my hair under hats and weaves. Wore a wig most of the show because I was told “it would just be easier for everyone”. My hair journey has been tumultuous if I’m being honest. I’ve cut it a billion times, but THIS time, I have loved it while it grew. Loving your hair is essential to its growth. I’ve been wanting to free my scalp for a while, and I am so happy I am!
