Amber Tamblyn Instagram – I’m recovering from some intense surgery (emergency appendectomy!) but wanted to pop back on here to say how happy I am that @kamalaharris chose the nation’s ultimate dad, @timwalz as her running mate. A few things to help you get to know Walz, and combat disinformation about him over the next 90 days: Walz served in the National Guard for 24 years, and was a school teacher for 20 years. As the governor of Minnesota, he’s single handedly passed universal free school meals for children no matter their household income (he is pictured here signing the bill.) He has passed strong labor protections, legalized cannabis, passed strong LGBTQ protections, and paid leave for families and the sick. He’s supported initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to renewable energy by 2030, and codified reproductive rights in the state of Minnesota. On the economy, he is known for job creation and workforce development, investing in programs that train workers for high-demand industries and support economic growth. He’s committed 1 billion for housing that includes assistance for renters and first time buyers. He’s cut child poverty by a third in the state. There is so much more. Minnesota ranks one of the highest economies in the nation, and that is in large part because of him.
Tim Walz is the antidote to the hate and shaming we’ve seen; a person with incredible experience and results who is beloved by so many.
Let’s continue to lead with love, compassion, and the good fight and character to disrupt and combat disinformation as it comes, and help others to join us. I believe we can and will do it.
