We went on a six-mile, steep uphill, uneven, rocky trail hike to Oia in Santorini. And it was hotter than Hades. The description said “strenuous”. But we thought that was a warning to old out-of-shape people. I forgot I AM an old, out-of-shape person. I almost had a heart attack. Then, right when I thought I was gonna cry, a shack where they rented mules, suddenly appeared. Like a mirage. PETA better not give me any shit. It was a choice between death or donkey. The only silver-lining was that I met @andrewtilig, a golden-haired, Greek god who has a side-hustle as a tour guide.
