Ariana DeBose Instagram – Things are about to boil over. ELLE has the exclusive first look at House of Spoils, which stars Ariana DeBose as an ambitious chef haunted by a mysterious presence at her new restaurant. The Blumhouse Television thriller, also starring Barbie Ferreira and Arian Moayed, premieres on October 3 on Prime Video.
To prep for the shoot, DeBose watched plenty of documentaries (including Chef’s Table), researched female chefs, and got herself into a professional kitchen. “I trained in NYC for about a week in Chelsea with Chef Ayesha Nurdjaja of Shukette (which is an amazing spot, by the way),” she says. “It was terrifying, but I had a blast!”
