That’s me looking back @amybethmcnulty still half shook. I didn’t write a speech, so I winged it but looking out at the wonderful sea of people might have made me a little nervous. I want to take the chance here to thank and mention everyone that I may have missed. I wanna shoutout the wonderful women who I had the honour of sharing the category with @thejessicagreco @karenrobinsonofficial @anastasiaphi11ips #kristamorin You all are amazing! It was a night of #gratitude for me . I started with my Mother and Aunty but I missed the rest of my family. You have been there for me in so many ways – you are all truly my foundation and inspiration. Alicia Jeffery my agent/friend who has been there “from the bottom “ @characterstalentagency agency but I also want to make sure that I included everyone at the characters who have been kind and true team players. As well as my wonderful team in NYC @a3artistsagency and LA @mckeonmyones_ent I’m so thankful for your support it’s helps more than you know. @stephaniecastingroom thank you for having faith that could do this part and many others @moirawalleybeckett @mirandadepencier @shernfern and so many other members of the #awae team. Thank you for creating this part and choosing me to play it. Anne of Green Gables is as Canadian as it comes and to have the gift of playing a (reimagined) part in that story that includes someone WHO LOOKS LIKE ME is a treasure that I hope will continue in #canadiancontent and the telling of #Canadianhistory (and the world history too while we’re at it) thank you to @cbc and @netfilx for rockin’ wid it.
