Deepika Venkatachalam Instagram – I often hear people say, “Sisters are best friends until eternity” I silently smile at this because I know know it’s a fact! A fact that makes my life as beautiful as it is, because my sister is a part of it, in fact the biggest part of it!!
My akka has been my first of everything ( oh shit 🤣 I have never called her akka all the while until an incident when i literally mugged to myself to address her as “SnehaKaa” and there’s no going back since then )
Ok back to this. She’s a friend who knows my dark secrets, sometimes a sister who teaches me, also a mom when she comforts me – APDI NU LAM SOLLA MAATEN COZ THATS WHAT SISTERS ARE FOR 🤣
But I wish , I really wish we could go back to the days where we used to fight like cats for nothing, like being her little sister who even went to cut her eye brows for a TV remote! 🙊
But there are days when I wanted to grow up, be an adult and live alone but when life actually happened,we grew up and we’ve been living apart in different continents but there is always a void, an unexplainable void that’s always there rent free.
A kind of emptiness? Especially when you come back home from an exciting day, or when you really have to try hard convincing your parents or when you’re craving maggie in the midnight 🥹 ( aaah brb crying :’) )
Those days feels so fresh yet so old and they are the days that I yearn to live again but I so know I cannot! 🥹 My is in a pool of mixed emotions as I realise my sister just turned 30!!Her milestone birthday and I am not there right with her to celebrate the person she is!
In all honesty, she’s been through my career shifts, she’s been through my life’s worst phase, she’s seen me laugh my lungs out, she’s seen me cry to sleep, she’s seen me fall sick, she’s seen me win and she’s seen me happy in love! 🪬🥹 She’s been through it all with me & she’s lived it all with me so much that I don’t remember much from my life without HER.
So If there’s one thing that I hate today, it’s the distance between us that doesn’t let me run and hug her when I feel that way!
