Diana Nyad Instagram – Let’s talk racquet sports today. The
badminton has me wide-eyed. I yell
multiple times per point, with their
lightning quick gets, their athletic slams. Great stuff. I could become a full-time fan of that sport.
Lily Zhang at table tennis is so fierce,
so quick. Captivating.
And how great, unique, is it to see Rafa
Nadal (and Djokovic) on the courts
he has owned for the French Open for
fourteen years, but in an Olympic
environment.
A highlight for the Games no doubt will
be Nadal, the elder statesman, teaming
with Carlito Alcaraz, the puppy dog phenom, for Spain in the doubles.
