Eleanor Lee Instagram – I know many people think I may be born into this industry or think I’m spoon fed and everything is handed to me easy. But on the contrary to many disbelief. I had to work really hard to achieve what I want. Believe it or not my mom only gave me a 100 bucks when I left home for work, I didn’t think I would stay, make a life here for myself and continue to strive, it was just a go with the flow mentality for me then.
I stayed at my manager’s home and slept on the couch for months before earning my first sum of money and buying new clothes for myself.
Slowly I turned 100 into many more zeros and I’m proud of that. But, believe it or not, I never ever know how much I earn and not once did I ever think I’m a rich person. My mom never ever spoils me, every single money I earn never touches my wallet but into a locked bank account my mom helps me monitor. Just like in my primary school days if I wanted to buy a pencil I liked, my mom would never give me extra money, she would say, you have to earn what you want, so I would save up eat less and buy what I wanted, this way I would know and pay the price, treasure everything because I know it’s worth.
I only live with my piggy bank daily, so I watch what I buy what I eat and how I spend. I like it this way, because it reminds us to work harder everyday and stay grounded. | Posted on 27/Jul/2024 11:50:53
