On #thisisthewaywednesday, let’s flash back to few weekends ago to the @voicesagainstcancer #605PopCon, where a whole lotta folks in Sioux Falls shaved their heads to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer- some for the first time, and some to continue a years-long tradition in memory of loved ones lost.
At these @stbaldricks head-shaving events, shavees℠ raise money for childhood cancer research by pledging to shave their heads in support of cancer patients, who often lose their hair during treatment.
Lucky me- I got to try out some newly discovered barbering skills and contribute to the cause. Thank you to everyone who participated, either by shaving or being shorn. The family of Mandalorian foundling Spencer Thorsland raised the most money- over $4k! If you want to know more about VAC, hit me up!
