Sad we couldn’t go to the memorial for @mayorofdoorcity, happy to get this care package from it. How people memorialize friends who have passed has to be one of the most bittersweet things I’ve experienced as an adult: what a horror to have to do it, but the expressions of love that come out of them are so lovely they make my heart hurt. I’d still prefer that the ones who have passed were still here.

See the documentary Flipside as soon as you can if you are – over 30 – a creative human being – a music snob – think about mortality – struggle with what your life is supposed to mean – like movies where a lovely grandmother chastises at Judd Apatow over zoom. So, everyone should see this. It’s available on vod. It’s about a documentary filmmaker musing on all the documentaries he started and didn’t finish, but it’s so much more than that.
