Golshifteh Farahani Instagram – Another birthday, another turn around the sun. So much is happening in this world, but the good news is: France didn’t turn Far right and it’s already a gift and a message for all migrant seeds that had already became trees in another far away land. No matter how far we come from, how hard the journey had been, how impossible it felt to be able to grow roots in a new unfamiliar soil, we are part of the biodiversity of this new land, and we have added to it. No one can take our new home away from us and make us feel exiled once again. We belong to our new home as much as we belong to the old one.
This photo is taken in the very beginning of my new « plantation » in France as a grain. I was feeling lost and lonely but I was never alone. No one is alone as long as humanity and goodness exist., verses denial, numbness and disassociation from the truth.

يك تولد ديگه، يك دورِ ديگه به دورِ خورشيد زدم. بگرد تا بگرديم. فرانسه در انتخاباتِ دو روزِ پيش، تندرو نشد، و اين هديه ى بزرگى براى من و تمام مهاجرين و تبعيدى ها بود. از تمامى شما عزيزاى دل كه تمامى اين سال هاى دور از ايران، در كنارِ من بودين تشكر ميكنم. اين شانزدهمين تولد دور از وطن، با وجود شما مملو از ايران خواهد بود
