Coconut milk, in fact, the entire coconut flesh aids weight loss because of something called MCT. It’s also great for abdominal fat (belly fat). A normal healthy person needs an average of 2,000 – 2,500 calories per day. A cup of fresh coconut contains less than 300 calories. If you’re on a weight loss journey, your goal is a calorie deficit, but your body still needs calories… Aside containing MCT, which aids weight loss, coconuts have a good amount of fibre, so they promote fullness and help to curb appetite. All of these make it a good idea to substitute unhealthy meals with coconut if your goal is weight loss.
