Jewel Instagram – New technology fascinates me as a medium for art. The fact that it’s novel vested a blank canvas in rhetoric viewers mind, where they have no preconceived notion of what to expect. When designing The Portal I studied the science of awe. And felt working with drones was the perfect opportunity to elicit this magical and healing response in peoples nervous systems. Creating the music was one of my favorite parts. Unlike anything I have ever done, it’s 10 minutes that covers meditation, spoken words , 4 new original songs and scenarios sound scaling. It’s quite a journey!
