From fermenting kimchi, to collecting acorns (for dotorimuk, acorn jelly), to folding dumplings at home, these experiences truly shaped my passion for Korean cuisine. I have my amazing mom and dad to thank for creating such vivid and strong food memories for me. I consider myself so lucky to have parents that cherished fresh traditional food, and valued home cooking. We didn’t have a lot growing up, but there was always a jar of kimchi!
