It is an intimate and precious journey, yet it can also feel exhausting and overwhelming.
Here are some of my nursing essentials during this journey:
Theraline nursing pillow, wraps comfortably around my body, safely moulds to the baby’s body and provides a safe place for my baby to rest as she feeds. It definitely helps make nursing easier and reduces neck, arm and back strain for me.
Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream
I personally found this to be the most-effective product during the first two weeks of breastfeeding. It created the thickest barrier, soothes and protects delicate skin, allowing the skin to heal underneath between feeds. Pro tip: Apply it before you take a shower to keep the hot water from further irritating your sore nipples. It really helps!
Bravado nursing bra
No matter your size, you’ll want to have a supportive nursing bra due to your breasts being heavier and needing more care, comfort and access.
